Makeup brushes

For a very long time, I restricted my make up products to those which doesn't need brushes - mainly because I know I will be too lazy to clean them and add on to the woes of my skin😓.
However, as my makeup collection grew, so did the number of brushes and most of them are part of kits or came as free gifts. So here is the list of brushes I currently own.

1. Faces retractable lip brush: this is the very first brush I bought and that was few years ago, when I used have only one lipstick at a time. I mostly used to buy from Maybelline and they have tendency to discontinue the colors I liked (still not over Autumn Rush😢). So I wanted to use them to the last possible bit and this brush extended their time with me. I got it for around 500 INR from Faces outlet in Phoenix mall more than 4 years ago.

2. Bare minerals face brushes: I got 2 of these along with the Get Started kit I got in the flight. I paid 39 GBP for the kit and, considering that the individual brushes are quite pricey, I would say they are a good inclusion 🤑. I opened only one of the brushes as they both are similar. Even with my limited knowledge, I could tell the quality of the brush is amazing.

3. Look fantastic brushes: I got this set of brushes as a free gift when I bought Benefit products from look fantastic site. When this bag arrived, I was left with no choice but to start learning about the brushes. But, I got used to them pretty quickly and, surprisingly, they are not that hard to maintain as I imagined😌. This kit got almost all the brushes in it and I will try to give the breakdown.

I use the right most one for concealer and it came right on time when my Benefit fake up tube hit the rim and there is still lot of product left inside - I certainly did not want to leave that expensive product left unused because I cant reach it🙄. The next 2 are eye shadow brushes (obvious. isn't it?) and the other two, I think, are eye liner brushes. I don't have any gel liners, so not using them currently - one of them still in cover😶.

The top one in the picture above is the powder brush - not quite sure if it is, but that's what I use it for. The middle one, I sometimes used as powder brush until my friend told me its for blush - I don't have any blushes currently, so that remains unused for now. Bottom one, I thought was for blush until my friend corrected me, now I am using for brozer (or contour? not quite sure) - though I am quite certain that it is not for what I am using as and I am definitely not using it right 😒. I will have to learn a bit about bronzers and contouring products - right now, I can't even tell the difference between those two.
4. Eco tools eye brush kit: This is one of the brands, I wasn't aware of when I had access to it and wish I did😪. When my teammate asked me to help get some makeup products for his wife, I picked up eco Tools brush set even though I had no idea about brushes. I was attracted to the cute packaging and had to resist a lot to get one for myself. I got to know about them little later and badly wanted to get one kit for myself. I was eyeing this kit from look fantastic site for few weeks, but the custom charges held me back, moreover I could not justify getting an eye brush kit when I own only one eye shadow🤐. Then I saw it in Amazon global store and, since I also bought my very first Mac eye shadow kit, I couldn't resist (it costed about 970 INR including shipping and import fee). I can't wait to experiment with these brushes and the Mac kit. I am already eyeing Smashbox eyeshadow palette😜.

I thought of including other make-up tools too, but I am feeling super sleepy and saving them for another post 😴.
