Testing for first time - Biotique anti tan facial kit

Image
I am not just testing this particular kit for the first time, but actually testing for the first time. Before buying any product, I usually get a sample or try in the store or get recommendations from friends or read lots of reviews online - basically something to convince me there is a possibility of me liking it. When I saw these kits, I wanted to test one of them without applying any of my usual protocols but brushed off the thought as I couldn't decide which one. Then I went to Goa on a vacation and got badly tanned. Now, I personally like a nice tan and am extremely happy with my wheatish complexion (I used to have lighter skin until I was in college when I was even more lazier), which is why I usually stay away from fairness products fearing my skin would get back its former shade. However, this time my skin looked extremely dull and tired - still I would've left to be gone on it's own time but then I came across these kits again. I felt like it's perfect s...

Third Europe trip part 2 - Geneva

Image
Recap - on a Monday morning, from Orly airport, we started to Geneva. In Geneva - We reached before 10 a.m. One of the best things I did while planning was to get Swiss pass (strongly recommended by my project manager). This pass will give access to all modes of public transport (we took local trams, inter-city trains and ferry crossing in Geneva lake), free entry to most of the museums (I visited just one) and 50% discount on mt. Titles entry. It comes with different durations, minimum being 3 days which is the type we got. I applied for it online, a week before, giving our details and start & end date of our stay, paid about 162£ pp and the soft copy was delivered through email very next day (for orders received well in advance, they will dispatch the hard copy). The printout of the pass is to be presented along with the original passport (apparently soft copy or photo copy won't be accepted). They almost always checked the ticket while travelling between cities. One of t...

Bath products

Image
I'm the least organized person I ever came across, every one I came across came across. Organizing things stresses me out more than anything, more than global warming and growing population 🙊. So when I saw my bath cabinet nicely organized without any known effort from me, I couldn't help but take a picture and write a post about it. This bath cabinet is super handy and I almost took it for granted - infact my dad reminded me to get one when we moved to the new apartment. It was surprisingly not very easy to find one though. After a bit of search found this one in @home store. Coming to the products (from top left): Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner for color treated hair : I got it along with a shampoo from the same range. As usual, shampoo got over long back while this one got long time to go. I didn't like color protect variants in shampoos z but this one I am quite happy with. It makes hair soft without pulling out too much hair (I always loose hair whenever...

Third Europe trip part 1 - Paris again

Image
This is the series I am longing to write and, if I am not writing in a sequence, it would have been published long back. There are quite a few mistakes made and lessons learned in this tour which I would like to keep a record of, to share with my friends as well as for my future reference. Even though, I visited quite a few places, I still did not visit Italy, specifically Venice - the place I dreamed since, I forgot when. My initial plan was to book a weekend or a 3 day tour to Venice and celebrate my birthday there. Then, my sister decided to visit for my birthday and we wanted to go on a mini Europe tour for 9 days. As my return date drew closer, I had to go through handover activities at office and got extremely busy while my sis was struggling to get through with tourist visa process. We almost gave up on the idea of making our own arrangements and started considering tour package - but none of them have same itinerary which matches what we had in our minds. While I was contemp...

Emptied and opened in June 2017

My friend(shopping buddy 😁) asked me to review the products I use, but I am not good at it. So thought of combining my emptied post with attempts at brief reviews. Also I want to write about the products I opened, as opening products is just as exciting as emptying them. Fresh pharmacy : It is quite saddening to see my lush products getting emptied. It's been a while since I used a soap as face wash and it required some effort to use with my new sonic brush. While I would definitely prefer granular face wash like herbalism or angels on bare skin, I am not disappointed with this soap. Its not drying as I thought it would be, as it contains few oils. I wouldn't say it is exfoliating, but it isn't too smooth either - got few bumps here and there. It is a bit difficult to use with my Clinique sonic brush, but manageable. Anyway, I am excited to try my La Roche Posey effaclar duo. I had extremely high expectations from this combo and after first 2 weeks of use, I can'...
