December and January purchases
Since October, my expenditure exceeded my earnings thanks to the sales - Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day, New year etc., So there is considerable amount of stuff I got in various categories (mostly online) and I intend to list (and try to justify) my purchases.
Mango Trousers from Jabong: most of my denim trousers got ruined and I disposed of three pairs - one of them is white corduroys from Levis which I used for almost 8 years. I was skeptical about buying trousers online - I bought a pair of Levis few months ago from Jabong and I had to return as I got the wrong size😧 and in exchange I got different style than that I ordered (Luckily I liked it and I kept it). Then, I saw dark grey trousers from Mango on same site and ordered them. I never owned Mango jeans before, so wasn't even aware of my size and was quite sure that I will have to return. However, to my utter delight, they arrived to be of perfect fit😇. Few weeks later, I ordered same one in white to replace my corduroys🛍.

Espirit top from Myntra: Espirit is one of my favorite clothing brand - unfortunately, their outlet is closed in Bangalore and I couldn't find it in London either (I managed to pick one tee from Paris though). So, when I saw the brand in Myntra, I couldn't resist picking one top.

This pattern is lot in trend couple of years ago and I wanted to get one, but never got around it. Moreover, there are not enough black pieces in my wardrobe (how is it even possible!!!) and I am loving off/cold shoulder tops💞. I like to pair it with the white trousers and black shoes.
Zara top: After a loooong time, I visited Pheonix mall few weeks ago and Zara would be must go if not the first shop I go to. I badly wanted a mustard top, but wasn't impressed with any of those I tried. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I got this red top.

Even though I have a few red and dark pink tops, I liked the metal button details on the shoulders and it goes well with the dark grey trousers👕👖.
Kazo cape jacket: when I visited Paris, for some reason I wanted to get something very specific - a cape jacket in powder pink color. I couldn't find it even after searching few stores and settled for a blazer from Promod. Few days ago, I was waiting at Central mall to collect the goodies my friend sent from Brussels and trying not to shop while I am at it. Then there is this jacket hanging in the front and, even though it isn't the color I wished for, I was not able to walk away and that is how I got the 4th brown outerwear of my collection🕴.

Carlton London shoes from Jabong: I must say this is the best buy of this streak and best pair of shoes I own. When it comes to shoes and bags, I could never get versatile ones and, as a result, my they are always out of sync with my outfits. However, this pair is exactly what I wanted - plain black color makes them formal and the gold detailing don't make them look too dull, they go well with dresses and trousers, they keep my feet warm and easy to slip off when they get bit uncomfortable💁. I am falling in love with Jabong all over again, everything I bought fit me perfectly.

Fossil bag from Amazon: I wanted to buy a handbag which is large enough to hold my laptop and narrowed down to a brown one from Fossil and Black one from Hidesign. However, this one is on huge discount and I ordered it instead - turned out, it was totally different to what I expected. It's almost like a travel bag and not defined enough to be used as laptop bag

Anyway, it could be used for short trips and could be folded down to be different size. My mom already called dibs on it 😊.
Nyx retractable eyeliner from NNNOW: I thought I could finally get that shirt dress from Gap and it was in sale too. Along with Gap and few other clothing brands, they also got Sephora section. I always wanted a purple/plum eyeliner, something different than regular black/brown and still subtle. After browsing through a lot of products, I finally decided on Mac gel eyeliner even though it got some shimmer and I wanted a matte one. Then I found this nyx one, totally matte and for a fraction of price, I was so very happy. Not only it have the color and texture I wished for, it came with 40% discount🤑. I immediately started using it, while my Dior pro liner is still unopened.

Makeup Revolution banana powder: I heard a lot about Ben-rye banana powder and wanted to get one, however, it is not available. Just when my Chanel compact got over and I was searching for a new compact/loose powder, I saw this one in Nykaa. Though it wont come under the category I was looking for, I ordered it. I initially got scared of the color, thought it wouldn't suit my complexion and I didn't know exactly how to use it either, but after watching a couple of videos, got a hang of it.

EcoTool eye shadow brush kit from Amazon: already mentioned it in Makeup brushes post. I used them once or twice with my Mac eye shadow kit and loving those. Feel like I am yet to discover their true potential, especially since I didn't yet use the smudge brush which seems to be the favorite.

Mac Prolong wear concealer: This is the second Mac product I got in 6 months. I went to the store to get the studio finish concealer which felt quite heavy and bought this instead. It gives a good coverage and I got a sample of BB cream which I love. I am going to get it next, unless Olay BB cream launches in India by the time I finish my current ones👧.

Forest Essentials cane sugar lip scrub: I got this one from Nykaa after my Clinique sweet pot got empty. It got more balm than granules and feels kinda slippery. I am not very regular with it, but I wasn't regular with Clinique one either. Maybe I will get to like it more with time🤔.

Bodyshop products: Last 10 days to go till end of Jan and I was content that I will be able to enter Feb with at least 5% savings - little did I know universe has different plans. My shopping buddy and I were doing online "browsing" comparing international prices and I came across the sale in TBS India site. It started with let's just add the products to bag for fun and came across products, I was holding back on buying, with irresistible discount. I will have to elaborate on the shopping experience and product list in another post as this one already got quite long 😌.

This is not the end of story and I still have loads of products sent by my lovely friend which deserve a dedicated post and a good deal of singing her praises😍.
