Aug, Sep and Oct empties

Image
My empties are getting lesser and lesser despite increasing the duration-sometimes I wonder if I am missing any products πŸ€”. In this list we are back to skin and hair care despite being out of lock downπŸ˜•.  1. A Thousand Wishes body scrub: another scrub from Bath and Body works. They usually make products with different fragrance but same ingredients which are mostly Shea butter and vitamin E. However this one sunflower oil. The granules in this scrub are more prominent and gel is thinner. The scent of this scrub is sweet and warm like transitioning from spring to winter. I got Into the Night scrub which got warmer fragrance and cream instead of gel - more suitable for winters ❄️☃️. 2. Cetaphil face wash: my acne is not getting any better and I had to rely on pharmaceutical products. Cetaphil is well known for acne prone skin - fragrance free and quite gentle. Since I don’t have active acne, I am planning to finish up my old face washes and stick to pharmacy brands going forward ☹️...

Birthday in Paris

Image
2 years later, I finally got to write about my most memorable birthday - very first solo trip in Paris. It was totally unexpected and wasn't easy. My assignment in UK was initially to be 3 months long which isn't enough time to get Schengen visa. However, it got extended and, on receiving 3rd salary slip, the first thing I did was to book the slot with French embassy in London which wasn't until 6 weeks later which was barely a week before my birthday. It seemed about impossible to get the visa in that duration unless I am a VIP, but I took a leap of faith and made the bookings. At first, I thought of going to different place like Nice or Monte Carlo. But it was strongly recommended to go to a familiar place when travelling alone for the first time and Paris is the only place in Europe I visited twice before.  After noon of the day before my travel date, I got the message that my visa arrived. The commute from Crawley to collect my passport is full of hurdles. I almost gav...

May, June and July empties

Image
Yup, went from 2 to 3 months 😀 for a decent list of empties, on the bright side I got few make up products from my Project Pan list πŸ’ƒ. 1. Bath and body works Midnight peony shower gel : When it comes to body products, Bath and body works is my favorite brand. The only complaint I have is that my favorite fragrances are getting discontinued. The composition is pretty much the same, so fragrance is the only differentiating factor. Peony quickly became my favorite scent and this body wash didn't disappoint me. I switched to body cream as the days are getting colder, but this very likely will get repurchased πŸ‘. 2. Dove shower mousse : This is my first shower mousse and was quite fun to use. As any other mousse, it dispenses thick lather which spreads into thin layer. Pleasant Argan oil fragrance and it didn't dry the skin. Shouldn't be skipping body lotion though, I am skipping body lotion often these days and skin is getting drier though it doesn't always feel dry.   ...

March and April empties

Image
With shifting places, role changes, critical incidents and couldn’t remember what else, I barely had time to sleep πŸ₯± , let alone self careπŸ‘©πŸ»‍πŸ’».  As a result, all I could finish in four months is a body wash.  Not that I am back to normal (couldn’t even remember what that is), but I am squeezing in some time for self and got enough empties for a post πŸ˜…. Khadi shampoo : this is my favourite hair care brand and mainly for its Saffron, tulsi and reetha shampoo. I bought this variant because it got saffron too and Himalayan cedar sounds interesting (though I know nothing about it’s hair care features 🧐 ). While I don’t have anything negative to say about it, I didn’t find it so impressive as tulsi and reetha one. I mean, why settle for less when you get better 🀷🏻‍♀️? I am back to my favourite variant. Moroccon oil shampoo : I bought a travel size pack of this in UK and immediately taken. The price difference in India is not much for the bigger pack (definitely not wor...
