September and October empties

I finally got some lip products close to finish💃🏻 - however, I started liking those so much and used them sparingly resulting in only one product in the list🤷🏻‍♀️. There are also face products in the list as I was hoping to. 1. Caudalie French Kiss Lip balm: this is bought by my friend more than 2 years ago and I used it for almost an year. I feel like most tinted lip balms in France have similar texture. They are very mildly hydrating and gives slight even tint. As much as I like the packaging and how the balm looks on my lips, I need something more moisturizing. This one is not going to make it to my repurchase list.  2. Herbal Essences Rosemary shampoo: Recently I have been ignoring my hair resulting in increased hairfall and dry texture🙇🏻‍♀️. I read rosemary is great for the hair and thought of including it in my haircare. Cant say this shampoo improved this situation much - going to stick to Khadi for now.  3. John Frieda detox conditioner: I bought this trio ...

Short stay in Crawley

Image
After my first assignment in London, on the way back to airport, my cab driver asked if I would like to return to UK. I said yes, but not to London - I want to go somewhere else more remote. I couldn't have asked for a better place when I landed in Crawley, though my feelings were very mixed initially. First few days I found the place more relaxed and laid back, but also got slightly bored of the slow pace. For someone who is used to extend office hours and after work hangouts, this place takes some getting used to. It didn't take long to get acquainted though, and soon I started appreciating its advantages🧐.   Tourism : Crawley itself is not a touristy place, however it is very well located with many good places to visit less than 2 hours of train/bus ride away. With Metro voyager pass, I took bus to towns like Horsham, East Grinstead, Royal Tunbridge wells and even to Brighton. There are also good train connections from Crawley, Three Bridges and Gatwick train stations -...

July and August empties

I have a colourful set of products in this list with new categories - some anticipated and some surprise entries 🤭. Almost half are from City Pharma making me wish for another trip to Paris 🛫. 1. John Frieda detox shampoo: I bought this along with conditioner and heat protectant spray from the same range in buy 2 get 1 deal from Boots. Despite of the high reviews and recommendations for this brand, it didn’t impress me much. Though I have nothing against it, there are other brands I prefer more. I bought Moroccan oil damage repair duo I liked so much to replace this. 2. Clinique 7 day scrub: I switched to chemical exfoliation, still use physical one twice a week. This scrub is the best one I used so far with tiny granules and subtle exfoliation. I bought St.Ives by accident - It’s one of the first scrubs I tried and forgot how much I liked it. Glad to rediscover the cheaper alternative 🤑. 3. Panier des sens soap: I picked it up randomly while shopping shopping in City Pharma. I...

May and June empties

As the lockdown continues, the range of products being used got more limited. Makeup got swept aside ( I might have to do declutter instead of Project Pan after all🤷🏻‍♀️) and skin care requirements reduced as well. Needless to say in 2 months I used up only bath and hair products. 1. Lush Deep sleep shower jelly: described for pre-bedtime shower, I bought it to relax after stressful day. It doesn't lather much and, towards the end, it got bit difficult to handle. Other than that I don't have much complaints with this shower jelly. It have a light aroma and made me feel fresh and relaxed after the shower. Since its not too expensive, I might re-purchase if my luggage allows it. I don't have any bed time shower replacements, but my shower time switched to evenings as I work from home. I am using the soap I bought from Citi Pharma which is almost over. 2. TBS Satsuma Body scrub: I was skeptical about this scrub as I am not a big fan of citrus scents. However, its not too ov...

Scotland series #1 - Evening strolls in Glasgow

Image
I have been to Scotland  before , but wasn't taken to it much. Not surprising considering My previous it was a short  trip (over 3 day weekend) and exhausting with jam-packed schedule & non-stop travelling. While I enjoyed the time with my friends, it turned out to be mainly a weekend long photo shoot (not that I am complaining 😜). Our tour guide is London based and didn't know much about the places we been to. No wonder I did not admire Scotland in the way it deserved🥺. Last year, 2 days before my planned return to India from England, I was to told my assignment was extended and I had to travel to Glasgow. I wasn't so excited as I was quite tired and partly glad to head back home to a more relaxed workspace. Moreover, I had to cancel my tickets, make travel & accommodation arrangements (which was a nightmare with my debit card cancelled😥), courier my extra luggage (domestic travel restrictions😏), re-pack my stuff, prep to deal with the issue which got my trip...
