December and January purchases

Image
Since October, my expenditure exceeded my earnings thanks to the sales - Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day, New year etc., So there is considerable amount of stuff I got in various categories (mostly online) and I intend to list (and try to justify) my purchases. Mango Trousers from Jabong : most of my denim trousers got ruined and I disposed of three pairs - one of them is white corduroys from Levis which I used for almost 8 years. I was skeptical about buying trousers online - I bought a pair of Levis few months ago from Jabong and I had to return as I got the wrong size😧 and in exchange I got different style than that I ordered (Luckily I liked it and I kept it). Then, I saw dark grey trousers from Mango on same site and ordered them. I never owned Mango jeans before, so wasn't even aware of my size and was quite sure that I will have to return. However, to my utter delight, they arrived to be of perfect fit😇. Few weeks later, I ordered same one in white to replace my cor...

Beauty tools

In continuation of my previous post , here's the list of rest of my beauty weapons. 1. Brush egg: this is the tool which kept my skepticism to the elaborateness of washing the make up brushes to rest. It made it super easy to clean the brushes and I am cleaning them regularly- almost once a week (that's regular enough, right?). I got this one from Amazon, if I remember right it's about 300 INR. 2. Beauty blender: I wasn't planning on buying it and neither did my friends. However, my sister (who is not at all into makeup) insisted on getting one mostly because it's quite expensive in India. My teammate and I bought a set from Bblunt on buy 1 get 1 offer, both of us convinced we will probably never use it. I thought of giving it to my sister, but when I started using it, I totally got hooked and couldn't part with it. I got another set of real techniques blenders from Amazon for 520 INR. 3. Eyelash curler: 'there was a time when I looked at eyelash curl...

Makeup brushes

Image
For a very long time, I restricted my make up products to those which doesn't need brushes - mainly because I know I will be too lazy to clean them and add on to the woes of my skin😓. However, as my makeup collection grew, so did the number of brushes and most of them are part of kits or came as free gifts. So here is the list of brushes I currently own. 1. Faces retractable lip brush : this is the very first brush I bought and that was few years ago, when I used have only one lipstick at a time. I mostly used to buy from Maybelline and they have tendency to discontinue the colors I liked (still not over Autumn Rush😢). So I wanted to use them to the last possible bit and this brush extended their time with me. I got it for around 500 INR from Faces outlet in Phoenix mall more than 4 years ago. 2. Bare minerals face brushes : I got 2 of these along with the Get Started kit I got in the flight. I paid 39 GBP for the kit and, considering that the individual brushes are quite p...

December empties

Image
One of my teammates asked how much I am spending on the products I used, so I thought of including the prices in my empties list. L'Occitane Bonne Marre soap : I got this full size soap as part of travel kit in a pharmacy in Paris for ~15  € . It has a lovely subtle rose fragrance, wont give immense lather but I still liked it. I wont be re-purchasing it though, unless I visit Paris again and then I will get another one of those kits. I thought of using TBS argon oil soap next, but I couldn't find it and opened Bath and body works warm cashmere trio. Unlike the Paris amor trio, all three of this range smells heavenly making my showers longer. The fragrance lingers longer too, I wish they are not so expensive in India. Chanel Mat Lumiere compact : My very first luxury product came to the end - I got it for ~3300 INR almost 4 years ago, almost twice its suggested shelf life. Initially used sparingly, but half way through I was quite regular with it. While it didn't give ...
