Beauty tools
1. Brush egg: this is the tool which kept my skepticism to the elaborateness of washing the make up brushes to rest. It made it super easy to clean the brushes and I am cleaning them regularly- almost once a week (that's regular enough, right?). I got this one from Amazon, if I remember right it's about 300 INR.
2. Beauty blender: I wasn't planning on buying it and neither did my friends. However, my sister (who is not at all into makeup) insisted on getting one mostly because it's quite expensive in India. My teammate and I bought a set from Bblunt on buy 1 get 1 offer, both of us convinced we will probably never use it. I thought of giving it to my sister, but when I started using it, I totally got hooked and couldn't part with it. I got another set of real techniques blenders from Amazon for 520 INR.
3. Eyelash curler: 'there was a time when I looked at eyelash curler and asked what is this'/'there was a time I was scared that the eyelash curler will hurt my eyes' - common statements by many make up enthusiasts and experts to indicate initial stage of their learning. Somehow I knew what it is and what it does before I saw it, neither was I scared of it even during the first use (all thanks to blogs and videos 😘). I got this when my teammate and I were shopping in one of my favorite stores in London, Wilko. I started using mascara by then but never felt the need to use the curler. And after getting it, I rarely apply mascara without curling my lashes 😋.
4. Tweezers: I don't know why I bought them, but I was so glad that I did. I picked it on one of my regular trips to Sainsbury's to grab a bite. At first I thought I liked it because I never used another, but everyone who tried it fell in love with it and I tried my cousin's tweezers from colorbar, which costed twice as much but nowhere close to this pair. Definitely my star buy and increased the gap between my salon visits. It's from Dirty Works and costed about 2£. I badly wanted to get few more for my friends and a spare for myself, but I never saw these again 😯.
5. Nail buffer and Emery boards: I got a buffer from Boots which I loved a lot and lost it. Then, one of my friends visiting from Australia gifted me with them. While I was delighted to get another buffer, I am completely taken by these Emery boards. They file my nails so easily and give them a nice manicured look😍.
6. Clinique Sonic brush: Another much hyped product which I resisted for very long, mostly due to the price factor. Then there was Valentine's day offer going on Clinique website and one of my friends kindly agreed to bring it to me (thanks Saman 😘). I used it regularly for more than a month and, while it gave that extra clean feel and it was super fun to use, I couldn't quite see what the fuss is all about. I didn't notice any major improvement and I am not planning on shedding whopping amount of money on brush head replacement. For now, I am using this brush sporadically😪.

It's past 3 a.m, I am going to get some sleep and, in 12 hours, I am getting a bunch of stuff sent by my amazing friend from Belgium 👼💃.
