November and December Empties
Now that I am back home, I am taking time with my purchases. Having said that, I do continue to enjoy reaching the bottom of the containers - to open the new ones waiting in the boxes🎁.
1. Bioderma micellar wipes: Like many, I love Bioderma micellar water and lost count of number of bottles of those I used📟. I am quite intrigued by the idea of wipes version, only they are quite expensive in England. I had to wait until I visited Paris and bought 2 packs from City Pharma. I would have bought more, if I did not read not so great reviews about the product - most mentioned they did not live up to the liquid version. I am happy with them though and will get more next time I go to Paris, hopefully soon🤞.
2. Clinique anti blemish face wash: As much as I like my international trips, working at client location means added stress leading to skin problems 😞. Few weeks my skin feels better and then some issue occurs immediately followed by breakouts😪. In one of my trips to Debenhams, the lady at clinique counter noticed my zits and advised to try their anti-blemish products. I did not heed to her suggestion as I am struggling to finish up my products to make some space in my bags. However, as the situation worsened and Clinique had 6 free deluxe sample offer back, anti-blemish kit made its way to my stash. It did give an immediate improvement, but did not help much when the situation re-surfaces - maybe my skin got immune😣.
3. Origins frothy face wash: I got it as part of a kit too and used it mostly during my travels. I like the texture and squeaky clean feel. It doesn't dry out the skin (maybe because of my oily skin), but I follow up with a serum or a light moisturizer as I tend to get dry patches too. While I am still trying to figure out what my skin needs🥴, for now I am using 2 face washes - one for oily sskin (Avene cleanance cleansing gel) and one for hydration (Liz Earle cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser).
4. Bath and Body works Cashmere glow body mist: This is my favorite fragrance (apart from Chanel mademoiselle) and the only one I re-purchase. Its warm and perfect for winters and favorite among my friends. In fact, a conversation about this spray with my colleague started a long-lasting friendship😁. Currently I am using Armani Because its you and In love with you which I bought as birthday gift for myself💝.
5 Lush Retread conditioner: I am not a big fan of conditioners, though most of my friends don't feel hair cleaning process is not complete without application of conditioner. As my strands got drier with coloring and heat appliances, I couldn't avoid conditioners any longer🏃. Though this one did not do much in smoothing my tresses, the earthy fragrance is amazing👃.Apart from the scent, it did not cause my hair fall like other conditioners did and, while my hair is far from smooth, it's not looking like haystack 🙆. I am super excited to use the Klorane mango butter conditioner.
6. Nuxe dry oil: This is another french pharmacy favorite and for a good reason. I like a multitasker and this oil could be used for face, body and hair. I used it for hair initially and for body later. I didn't use it for face - still getting used to the idea of oil on my face🤨. It has a delicate fragrance and performed quite well for both hair and skin. However, I did not re-purchase it as the packaging is quite bulky and, though did not multi-task, I got impressive products for both purposes🤷.
7. Bare minerals original powder foundation: Last but one item from the starters kit. Though sample size, this box lasted quite long. It is powder foundation, but I used it mostly as finishing powder. Since I don't use foundation, it did not get heavy. I am using Lancome compact powder which is also medium coverage. I like the Bare Minerals powders, but I have a few on my to try list📝.
8. Clinique primer:My friend gave this sample pack long long ago and it took me so long to open it, so much so I kinda felt it went bad. I like Clinique primers and this one has a tint to it, slightly blurring the pimple marks. Yet I prefer their basic primer - with concealer, BB cream and medium coverage powders taking care of the marks, I did not really need the blurring. I am going to take short break from primers before opening the smashbox one.
9. Uriage Eau Thermale face spray: A face mist is one of must haves in my hand bag. In a warm weather, these tiny bottles bring big relief🌞. Its even better when they are infused with skin care ingredients. I picked only one bottle of Uriage along with 2 of Avene. This is cheaper than other brands and I felt it got finished bit faster😶.
10. Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir body scrub: I went to buy walnut scrub and ended up with this variant, mainly because I like this fragrance better. Jo Malone is famous for their perfumes and I could understand why. Its not just the scent which impressed me with this product. The scrub got very fine granules in a gel. I used to layer it with Pomegranate Noir body cream to moisturize and for the fragrance to last longer. I am kinda sad that it got finished up. I am using TBS satsuma body polish, but there is no going back from Jo Malone👻. I would like to get their jumbo Vit E scrub - I wish I tested it before to check if the scent suits me.
Hopefully, I get to start with other posts apart from empties.
