Which lipstick to buy next?
Few years ago, I used to have only one lipstick at a given time(simpler times☺️). Even when I started using more than one at a time, they usually are of completely different colors. Then I got across to more brands while I was travelling and I bought what I liked. As a result I ended up with similar colors - 4 out of 6 lipsticks I bought in a span of 6 months are pink (in darker plummy shades😯).
So I am back to planning which lipstick to buy next and I am going to categorize by color👩🏻🏫.
1. Red: I usually like neutral colors and avoid bright ones, so I don't have any red lipsticks. The closest to red I got is Oh Oh from Sephora which looks muted red sometimes, but sometimes looks like orange. I tried red lipstick from Tom Ford in the Sephora store in Champs Elysee's. I quite liked it but it's too expensive and I already decided on Chanel lipstick which is plummy pink shade🤷🏻♀️. I am thinking of getting little Mac in Ruby woo for a while now. I don't know if the mac lip palettes are still available, but if they are I would like to consider the editorial reds one. When I find Tom Ford outlet, I want to try their lip contour kits🧐.
2. Peachy brown: My L'Oreal Maple mocha is almost over and what did I get to replace it? Spring Rosette - another pink🤦🏻♀️, at least its lighter than the other pinks I have. Anyway, I want to get Nyx soft cream liquid lipstick in Cannes for a while now. In every Nyx soft cream swatch video I saw, I liked the Cannes the most. But it is always out of stock in Nykaa 🙇🏻♀️ and I am also considering Mac Mocha (name matches too) or Mac Taupe. Another reason for liking Mocha is because it is described as yellow brown. Few years ago, I was searching for lipstick worn by female lead in castle. I don't remember the shade, but it is from Bobbi brown and is yellow brown shade. I didn't get a chance to try it and swatches in online felt that shade would be too light for me. Hoping Mocha will suit my complexion well - will be trying it next time in Mac store.
3. Pink: It will be a while before I get another pink lipstick⏱, but I have few in mind - I must really like pinks 😍. I am lusting over Mac amorous for more than 2 years now. I used to try amorous and creme in your coffee every time I enter a Mac store. Thankfully, I bought creme in your coffee at the end, else I would have another dark pink. This one is to stay in my wish list bit longer. Almost as much as Amorous, I liked vintage pink from Rimmel. I tried it so many times, my friend Muks almost bought it as gift. Recently Muks mentioned about Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lipstick. I never tried anything from this brand, nor even considered it until she bought it to my attention. When I am checking out the shades I am drawn to secret salma - dark pink shade again🙍🏻♀️.
4.Brown: I usually get light brown lipsticks with pink tones. I was watching Friends few days ago (for like 7600th time🙈) and wanted to know lipstick Monica is wearing. I couldn't find it, but found out the one Rachael was wearing - mac paramount. I think it will be too dark for me, but wouldn't hurt to try it out.
I am planning on getting liquid, tube or mini lipsticks which won't take forever to get over and I could get more lippies. Also, when it comes to full size ones, I will stick to luxury brands so I will be glad they will stay for a very long time💸.
