2017 favorites - make-up products
I have the habit of saving the emptied containers mostly the ones I could re-use and some not re-used but too pretty to throw away. I recently saw a video in YouTube where emptied containers are used to decide what to re-purchase and I thought it is a good idea. I am going to list the products used/being used, my favorites and which ones I would be re-purchasing.
I got like huge bag of them and thought of dividing them to make-up, skin care and hair care 😁.
Starting with make-up,
Face products:

Primers: I am not into primers much - mostly got them as freebies or part of kits. I used 3 primers this year - Clinique, Benefit porefessional, Bare Minerals Prime Time and Maybelline baby skin one (last 2 are still in use). My favorite of those is Clinique - it made my skin feel quite smooth even when washing it at the end of day. I am not planning on re-purchasing any of them, I will try some product which could multi-task as primer.
Concealer: I used Benefit fake-up, Maybelline age-rewind and BareMinerals Stoke of light (this is more of a high-lighter). Its quite hard to pick out a favorite in this category - guess I will go with Maybelline one. I am in 2nd tube of Benefit fake up but it is quite expensive in India, I will either re-purchase Maybelline or try a new one.
BB cream: I am not a big fan of foundations and, my preference to multi-tasking products, made BB cream a staple in my daily make-up stash. I used only 2 in this year - Olay and La Roche Posey and my favorite is Olay. La Roche one is too runny and gets absorbed into the beauty blender. As much as I like to re-purchase Olay, it is not available in India. I have Maybelline CC cream to use next before having to decide what to get next.
Compact: I used Chanel Mat Lumiere regularly and Bare Minerals Mineral veil for special occasions. I liked both of them almost equally, but if I had to pick one, I will go with Chanel. I am not considering to re-purchase either of them, but want to go for Mac next - super confused to pick from their vast collection though, may be CC prep+prime powder.
Eye, Lip & cheek:

Eye pencils/Liner: Rimmel London exaggerate eyeliner pencil, The body shop eye pencil, Lord & berry kajal stick and Maybelline curvy eyeliner are the products I used. My favorite is Rimmel - color, texture, the smudger, almost everything about it.My friend thinks twist up ones are better than pencil as there is no product wastage and I was of same opinion except Rimmel twist up got finished quite quickly while TBS pencil is still not half done, even though I bought both of them around the same time. I will be re-purchasing Rimmel after I finish up TBS which could be end of next year.
Eye shadow: I used only 2 eye shadows - Chanel stylo pencil and lord and berry (which is actually brow powder which I use as shadow). I like Chanel mostly for the design and ease of use. I wouldn't be re-purchasing either as I am yet to explore other options and learn how to apply multiple eyeshadows 😌.
Brow products: I wasn't that into brow products as my eyebrows are thick as they are, until a friend of mine convinced they make eye brows look great in pics. I picked up Maybelline brow duo to start with, then got Benefit gimme brow as part of kit and bought Rimmel duo from Look Fantastic. I think I like Benefit one better for its ease of use - its like an eyeliner with a spooly. I don't think I will re-purchase it though, I am considering NYX brow kit to try next and have to learn how to use those kits properly.
Mascara: I used mascaras from Clinique, La Roche Posey, Rimmel and Benefit. My favorite of those is Clinique for its even application and it is easy to remove. I have another Clinique one and full size Benefit mascara after completing Rimmel and Benefit sample piece I am currently using. So no buying mascaras for a while.
Lip glosses and lipsticks: I used NYX butter gloss and Clarins lip perfector in glosses, Mac, Bobbi Brown, L'oreal and Dior in lipsticks, Rimmel exaggerate lip liner and Burts bees lip crayon - the longest list of all 😊. My favorite is Mac Satin lipstick. I already got another Mac lipstick and a list of lipsticks I want from Mac.
Cheek tint: I used TBS cheek tint and currently using Benefit Bene tint. I like both of them same - TBS is more visible and Benefit is more subtle. I think I am ready to try blushes now - thinking mac Desert Rose.

Perfumes & deos: well, they don't exactly come in makeup category but I consider them to be. I used TBS white musk libertine & English dawn gardenia, engage pocket sprays, Cinthol deo stick Chanel mademoiselle, Bath & body works paris amor. My favorite, undoubtedly, is Chanel mademoiselle - whenever I am in bad mood, I spray this and it instantly lifts my spirits even if is for a little while. I still got lots of perfumes to finish up, but definitely will be getting a perfume version of Mademoiselle.

Make-up removers & face-wipes: I used Bioderma micellar water, Sephora dual phase makeup remover & Neutrogena oil-free make-up remover and St.Ives, Beauty Formulas tea tree and Kara Neem and tea tree facial wipes. I like Bioderma, Sephora and St.Ives equally, but Sephora one impressed me the most - almost like love at first sight. I already purchased 3 new bottles of Bioderma and, as much as I like to get other 2, St.Ives wipes are not available and Sephora remover is priced more than twice in India😣.

Of all, my top 3 products are - Mac lipstick, Chanel mademoiselle perfume and Olay BB Cream.
