Emptied from April to May 2017
The emptied products list got delightfully long, I am posting this one for 2 months instead of my usual three months duration.
Lush 93,000 miles shower jelly: though lush is my favorite brand, I didn't try many of their famous bath products - not having access to bath tubs might be the reason. Then, during my last minute shopping, one of my friends asked to pick up few soaps. While selecting the soaps, I got tempted to get one for me too. However, I already got few soaps and as middle ground bought the shower jelly. It lasted about 3-4 months.

Biotherma micellar water: I forgot to pack face wash when I visited Paris and went to a pharmacy to pick one. While I was standing in front of the wall length cupboards filled with products in French description, not able to make out the difference between face washes and moisturizers, a lovely lady suggested this product. She said it helped her friend and her during Holi in Varanasi - they were freaked out the colors would break out their skin 😀. I did not use it as face wash like she suggested but as make up remover. Though not used very regularly, I managed to finish up within 12 months as indicated 😁.
GCC shikakai shampoo: it is one of my favorite shampoos. My hair usually respond well to herbal shampoos unlike my facial skin. This is not available everywhere, my dad got this for me when he came from my home town and he have extremely high standards for hair products. Though I liked it immediately, I didn't use it for a while. Then I found this lying in corner of my bathroom cabinet still within expiry. Should ask my dad to bring few more 😋.
Body shop drops of light: this is the first serum I tried. Since my skin is oily and moisturizers tend to make it greasy, I thought of trying serums for a while. But didn't get around buying one until body shop came up with an offer I couldn't resist 🤓. I didn't use it non-stop but, whenever I (re-)started using, continued for 6-8 weeks. Finally I finished within due date.
La Roche posey face mist: this is a regular product. Upgraded from recurring to main cast 😎.
Body shop argan oil hand cream: after trying the Shea butter line, turned to argan oil range. While the former is bought by chance, latter became an obsession. Should have bought few more but I am going to get lush hand cream 👏💃.
Face guard sun screen: my sister struggled a lot to get this for me and I didn't use it regularly 🙈 - BB cream and compact felt sufficient for London and Bangalore winter. Anyway, I didn't want it to go to waste and used it for both face and body.
Body shop white musk libertine perfume: story behind this is described in previous emptied post when full size product was emptied.
Lush skin's shangri la moisturizer sample: lush is quite generous with their samples. Also I didn't use it all over my face, but around my nose and below the lower lip where my skin tend to develop dry patches.
Hence it lasted for few months and itching came down drastically. Dryness didn't completely vanish though, neither did the darkness 😔 but they are reduced to a considerable extent.
St. Ives camomile cleansing wipes: St. Ives is one of my favorite brands. I tried their body lotion and face scrub and loved them both. When I saw their cleansing wipes in super drug, immediately picked them (even though SA suggested micellar wipes which are in offer). I thought of using them when feeling too tired (lazy) for makeup remover and face wash routine. Turned out, it made me more lazy and used them up more lately 😑.
Burt's bees lip balm: I always like when lip products are used up (how I like to see a lipstick soon 😪). This is a non tinted lip balm and quite hydrating perfect for night time. I used it for few months longer than a year as mentioned.
Anatomical anti-blemish face pack: I got 2 uses out of the sachet. I didn't have many blemishes at the moment but I just loved the texture of the pack. It is so light and fluffy, I almost wanted to taste it 😋.
Super drug hair treatment: I thought I would get 2 uses out of it but it got used up in one use. I liked how soft my hair felt but the effect didn't last long.
Steel Nail polish remover wipes: I bought these about 2 years ago from one of the H&G stores. Initially I didn't use them much and reserved them for travel. However, when I started using them, I found them super convenient and used them while at home too. Should get another one or two boxes.
Lush Jason and argan oil shampoo bar: I didn't have any high expectations from this shampoo. I was even skeptical, with the amount of oils, if it would clean hair properly. Turned out, it did clean quite well and didn't make my hair fall so much as other chemical shampoos did. However, I feel like I could find few alternatives for lesser price. I wouldn't be missing it so much.
Olay BB cream: BB cream, like any multitasking product, is my favorite. I didn't pack any cream for London (I might have actually thought I will be going to shopping mall as soon as I land before going to my accommodation or office 🙄) and desperately wanted to buy one. As soon as I saw my favorite BB cream in my favorite Olay brand I didn't have to look anywhere else. Plus it came integrated with Max factor foundation. I used it almost every day and it lasted more than a year. I'm super excited to open la Roche posey BB cream 💃.
Nyx lip butter gloss Ginger snap: I am not much of a gloss person. However, I would like to use one occasionally. Also I use tube gloss as an alternative to lip balm when I hang out with friends in Cafe or Mall. This one, I used differently though - along with my Mac verve lipstick. As much as I like using Mac alone, it gets dry after couple of hours. But combined with this gloss, it don't get dry. I use them in reverse order - gloss first and apply lipstick on top. Now the gloss got over and lipstick is still left 😶.
Sally Hensen base coat: I got it long time ago when I started using nail polish regularly. It helped my nails from getting yellow especially while using darker colors. Now that I finally finished it up, time to open Essie top and base coat kit💃.
For the first time, I wrote a post simultaneously as I was finishing up with the products and got it ready to be posted at the right time 👼. Let's see how it could be applied to other posts 🤔 - I don't set deadlines and I write about past events to kinda relive them, but I would like to write about current events sometimes 😀.

Didn't know dad has high standards for hair products..😁 will try that shikakkai shampoo next time 👍
ReplyDeleteAnd I applaud your will power to not open the new ones until you finish the current ones 👏👏🤗
Yes, Dad's hair maintenance is quite high 😁. And I am super proud of my Will power too.
DeleteI regularly say the same thing, how can you have that kind of self restraint that you don't open the products till you finish the ones in progress. You actually have an inventory going on😂😂
ReplyDelete😁😁.. many times I open new products while I am near the end of old ones. But since I started emptied posts, I kinda got motivated to add on to the pile
