Accessories collection part 1 - pendents and chains

I am no pro in creating ensembles. My friends, while buying clothing and accessories, consider almost their entire wardrobe - how many ways they could mix and match a shrug, what outfits would a particular pair of shoes look good with etc., Me? I just consider if I like it or not. Result - my accessories never match my outfits nor in  sync with each other. My footwear collection is from Mars and outfits are from Venus while bags and other trinkets belong somewhere else.
Due to this situation, even though I had a stand full of shoes collecting dust, I wear same pair of shoes everyday and neglect my artificial jewellery collection entirely. Then one of my teammates/friends, when visited my room, asked an interesting question - what is the point in buying so many girly things when I dress up every day like a boy.
I normally ignore comments on my tomboyish attires, but that was the first time my contradictory actions were highlighted.
Since then I started focusing on getting accessories matching my outfits. Since footwear seemed like an advanced area for a beginner, I started with smaller things.
I started this post to be about my favorite category - bracelets. However my bracelet collection is relatively bigger and, since I already wrote a huge intro, I switched to pendents and chains which are less in number.
1. White Stone necklace from stone and string:

This is the oldest piece in my collection and my only fancy one. I got it as a gift from my best friend like a decade ago and I use it only on special occasions (probably 10-15 times)
2. White stone 8 shaped Sterling silver pendent:

This too is quite old. I saw this in a factory outlet mall and liked it instantly. It came with matching earrings but I felt 2k is high for the set. However, my sister got it for me as birthday present 😍. Initially, I used to wear it frequently. But it gets blackened very quickly and I have to brush it with tamarind or toothpaste every time I wear it. I gradually reduced and almost stopped wearing it. Now it just sits in my jewelry box 😔.
3. Long black metal chain:

I got it as a surprise send off gift from a close friend when I went to London and is the only chain I took with me. Though I didn't get to wear it (no point in wearing under thick overcoats), I placed it on my mirror and remembered my friend every time I looked at it 😀.
4. Blue heart shaped Swarovski Crystal pendent and Sterling silver chain from Warren James:

For few years, even though I bought lots of earrings and bracelets, I stopped buying and wearing chains. Then, one lonely Sunday afternoon in London, I went for a walk to high street and came across Warren James outlet with huge discounts displayed on the windows. I went inside without any intention of buying, but instantly took a liking to this cute blue heart shaped pendant. The chain it came with didn't fit my neck and the store keeper agreed to replace the chain on the condition that I have to pay the difference in price depending on change in the weight. The new chain turned out to be of lesser weight and I paid 11£ instead of 12£ 😆. For that price, I doubt it's original Swarovski Crystal but it remained in same condition without me having to wash it even once and I wore it almost daily for 3-4 months until I got other pendents.
5 & 6 Pearl and silver pendents from Camden market:
One of things in my wish list for a very long time is a pearl in a shell pendent. I searched a lot for it but couldn't find anything which came close. Finally, when we went to Camden market, I saw a counter with silver jewelry. I initially didn't go for round shaped one even though it fit my description but liked the leaf shaped one with tiny pearl. However, the pendant was too big and I asked for a pendant in the size of the earring in the set. The lady told me a new shipment was expected in 3 weeks and asked me to check then. I went after 3 months instead 🙄 but the size I asked for still wasn't available. She then converted one of the earrings into a pendant and that's how I got the pendant of my dreams.
Soon my return date grew closer and I started to feel that I am going to regret the things I didn't buy. So, one fine day, I got the round pendant with chain and matching earrings😌.
7. Rose gold plated alphabet pendant with chain from Accessorize:
I came across a lot of stores with rose gold jewelry while in London and wanted to get one chain and pendant before leaving. But I wasn't sure if I should spend 150£ for it. So, when my friend pointed Rose gold plated chains in Accessorize, I know I have to get one. This is currently my most used chain and it turned from Rose gold to black long back 😓.

That concludes my pendant & chain collection and next one is going to be about bracelets 😀.
