June Empties

 Whew., 2 months in a row 💃🏻. For a little while I thought of going back to combining 2 months, but July list is already piling up 😅 (thanks to back to office mode).

1. Burts and Bees lip balm: not only I have second monthly list, but also had lip product consequently 😯). This is my second lip balm from this brand but almost half a decade between 2. Previous one is plain beeswax (had to check a picture to confirm). I wasn’t super impressed with the product for that price (hence the time gap), but bought slightly tinted version this time. It’s not super creamy nor matte. It doesn’t add any sheen, so good for matte lipsticks. It’s light weight, so good for glosses. The tint is so minimal and it will not interfere with lipstick colours. Overall I like this one. I got eos balm which I wanted to try for a long time, but I would definitely repurchase from Burt’s and bees.

2. Lancôme eye makeup remover: I got this as part of gift kit. For a gift pack, the size is quite decent and lasted for a while. I don’t use waterproof products nor do intense eye makeup, but often go with eyeshadow, liner and mascara. This one did a decent job removing the makeup without any irritation. Yet I prefer Sephora or Clinique for eye makeup removers. Currently using Sephora.

3. Loccitaine scalp essence: I didn’t use this very regularly until towards the end. Since I use minoxidil at night, I used it in morning. Can’t say much about hairball reduction, but it has a nice cooling effect and nice to use during warm climates. I don’t think I would repurchase this either or any scalp treatments for that matter as I have to continue using minoxidil.

4. Kama Ayurveda vetiver face spray: This is one of my favourites and I kept repeating. Amazing for warm summers with its cooling effect. I also use it as makeup setting spray even though it isn’t light enough to be setting spray. I’m currently not using any as the singer is over, but I most likely will repurchase this.

5. Kiehls rare earth face mask: I was waiting for a while to try this as well. My friend said it’s suitable for summers, so bought a smaller pack. This indeed is deep cleansing and I feel quite fresh after using it. I don’t encounter humid climate anymore, hence cannot say about shine control. If I could make an educated guess, I think it helps with it. Thankfully my acne is under control (wood touch 😅) and skin is getting dryer as weather is getting colder , hence need moisturising mask now. However, I most probably will repurchase this.

Interesting I don’t have any bath or body products in this list. I’m super excited about next list as I am anticipating makeup products to increase (including lipsticks 🕺🏽).

Another single month list 😊 1. Lacto Calamine cleansing wipes: these cleansing wipes are quite handy on a warm day outing or hectic day quick makeup removal. These wipes are as effective as the expensive brands.  2. L’Oréal lipstick - spring rosette: after lot of search for medium pink colour, I found this shade. Until then it’s either berry or mauve or barbie doll pinks. Texture is okay - definitely need exfoliation and moisturiser.  3. Khadi Saffron shampoo: my old favourite 🤩. 4. February Empties

Most products emptied in this list don't have too many backups - too bad there aren't any makeup products. Nevertheless, I had a good long use of them and enjoyed using them. 1. L'occitane body & strength shampoo: this is like aromatherapy in a bottle making every shower a spa experience. Original price is 19 GBP, but on purchase of 35 GBP, i could buy 3 bottles of shampoo or conditioner from selected rage for 10 GBP each. The same offer was available in Paris too with Euros making it even more economical. The Shampoo is colorless with neither too thick nor too thin consistency. It doesn't lather too much but leaves the scalp clean without making the stresses dry. Still I developed the habit of using conditioner regularly. I bought herbal essence shampoo unwilling to shell out thrice the price to re-purchase this. However, if my luggage permits, I will not hesitate to pick this on my next euro trip. 2. Nov and Dec Empties

This list have a variety of products - skincare, hair care, make up and nails. Almost half are make up products - I always find it difficult to finish up makeup products😅.  1. Bioderma BB cream: I like make up products from skin care brands and French pharma brands. This one is both🥰. They don't have many shades - just 2 or 3. Thankfully I found a match. As bb creams are, this one doesn't provide heavy coverage. Even though I spend most of day in air conditioned space, I also spend good time walking in sun and this one stays well. It is not currently available in India😔, whenever I get access to it, I will definitely re purchase this one. 2. Mac eye pencil: this my second one and I was hoping to utilise it for back to Mac (which is no longer available😟). It is not too creamy not rigid. it doesn't stay long, however, il don't fudge at corners as other kohls I used before. Since these empties are no longer recyclable, I will by other brands now🤑. 3.
