March and April empties

This list have multiple Kiehls products. I purchased quite a few products in sale which are further accompanied by freebies and samples 🤑. Hopefully I would be able to get enough for recycling reward (I missed Mac recycling short of one pack 😔)

1. Cocoved charcoal body scrub: I bought it on my trip to Andaman. Though I am not so keen on soap scrubs, I like the product. It exfoliates well and, despite containing coconut oil, the scrub is not moisturising however not drying either. This would be perfect for humid climates but prefer something with more hydration in dry weather.

2. Lotus sports sunscreen: As I was swimming regularly, I wanted something to help with the intense tanning. I bought this one for it’s high spf, it’s water resistant and designed for sports. Yet it’s not much help - can’t say it’s effectiveness for other sports as my other workouts are indoors. I bought banana boat and also changed my swimming schedule to evening.

3. Kiehls crème de corps body lotion: this is cult favourite and I am late to the party. I could see why it is well liked. I find it slightly more greasy than other lotions, but it provides hydration in way others couldn’t in harsh winters. It may be bit rich for warmer climates, but could make it work with little adjustments ⚖️.

4. Kiehls ultra face wash: another best seller from the brand. After herbalism, I am on lookout for a good face wash. While it is not quite a match, I think it would do for time being. It’s a good cleanser and doesn’t dry skin.

5. Kiehls cranberry turmeric face pack: I used to have weekly sessions of face packs and foot soaks which I am not quite regular these days. I do try to use face mask once a week (if not twice). In college, I used to apply turmeric and cream but the turmeric I used after only caused negative effects. I read somewhere this pack works for those who are sensitive to turmeric. The cranberry granules provide exfoliation and pack doesn’t leave the skin dry. It does stain a little but not as much as actual turmeric. I’m trying other packs from this brand but would like to get back to this later.

6. Origins night serum: I don’t use night creams as they tend to breakout my skin, but I started getting fine lines and it is high time for me to start with additional hydration. So I opted for serums instead. I have few sample packs and they are all I need as I use very little and even small packs last a while. This one is light weight, yet provides enough hydration. If winters get harsher or my skin gets dryer, I’ll switch to creams - for now, serums will do.

7. OPI nail base: like lipsticks, nail polishes last long and, since they stay on nails longer than a day, I definitely feel the need for base coat which provides some protection for my nails. My nails don’t get discoloured or brittle, so I feel this one did a decent job. Also it doesn’t make gel polishes gooey which is another main requirement for me from my base coats. I got another one from same brand and , until I get acces to Essie or CND (hopefully soon), I will continue with OPI.

8. Clinique dramatically different oil control gel: this is one of my favourite products and not my first pack. My skin is most complicated and changes from dry to oily very quickly, so picking a moisturiser is often challenging. It is one of the few which doesn’t cause any irritation nor makes my skin oily. It provides hydration just as required for my skin. Only I get good deals in UK and don’t feel like paying full price. For time being, I bought ultra cream from Kiehls (sale 😁), but this will definitely find its way back to me 😜.

That’s quite a list for 2 months. There are going to be lip products in my upcoming lists. I’m looking forward to purchasing new lippies - although there are quite a few unopened ones in waiting ⏳.
