July, August and September Empties
I am back at quarterly frequency 🫣, but I got a variety of products and all types of lip products too💃🏻.
1. Chanel Stylo lipstick Recit: this is the star of the list. For the first time I am completely sad for finishing up a lipstick. This is most luxurious one I owned till date and it showed. It attracted compliments from friends and strangers. The texture and colour are amazingly good. Only drawback is the staying power but no complaints as I like carrying and reapplying this one. It would have been finished long time ago but I purposefully delayed it. Most definitely repurchasing - I will try to check other colours but Recit is such a beautiful berry pink and suits me so well, I might end up getting it again 😂. I finally got to open Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in blushing dream and the Color is complete opposite particularly now I got super tanned ☹️.
2. Sephora lip scrub: Bought it from Sephora store in Venice. Most lip scrubs come in tubs and I liked to find these tube scrubs. Though, it didn’t stay long as a scrub. The granules are too too fine and eventually it turned more into a balm and less of scrub 🤷🏻♀️. I may not repurchase them as it defeats the main purpose of exfoliation but if looking for balm with very very mild scrub, this’ll do. I am using Mac lip scrub and it gets the job done for me.
3 Clarins lip perfector: this is more of lip gloss but I use it more like balm when I go out. I wasn’t using it regularly as I wasn’t going out regularly and it lasted a while. I got another one and I got both as freebies. Clarins like Clinique gives a lot of free stuff in UK and they are deluxe sized and last long too.
4. Bioderma photomax sunscreen: I didn’t use this regularly until quite recently. Since it’s water resistant I used it for swimming but didn’t see much results. Maybe because it’s past it’s best date or because I keep forgetting to apply sunscreen 🥺. I bought a sports one now and even switched the swimming time to evening but the damage’s already done😰.
5. Clarins toning lotion: another one past its best time due to irregular use. In fact I suspected it was triggering my acne. I stopped using for a while but didn’t have the heart to throw it away, so used it a while later. Thankfully it didn’t give any bad reaction and I quickly finished it. I bought Kiehls rare earth toner and using it regularly now (learnt the lesson).
6. Bath and body works body cream A thousand wishes: I love the brand so much and it’s quite rare to have an empties list without one of it’s products. They have awesome winter fragrances, though the formula remains same (which I like😍). This time I replaced with kiehls crème de corps lotion. I read so many good reviews and I want a free product with the empties 😂.
7. M’caffeine coffee face scrub: got this as a sample with shampoo. There are so many celebrities endorsing this brand and wanted to give it a try - I usually don’t go with endorsements but there are too many to ignore plus it’s coffee 😁. Coming to the scrub, it is a bit abrasive for my super sensitive skin. So sticking with pharmaceutical ones. Currently using Bioderma brightening scrub which I believe is helping with the tan🤞🏼.
8. Lush Dirty hair styling cream: I misinterpreted this too be moisturiser but as the name suggests it is primarily for styling. Even though it has many ingredients which are to smoothen the tresses, it cannot replace serums or moisturising creams. However, the smell is amazing and when I (rarely) put the extra effort in grooming my hair, this cream makes it last longer. Need to be careful with the quantity though as it can flatten and weigh down the hair.
9. Loccitaine nourishing conditioner: this is refill pack and I use it when I wash my hair with soapnut which is extremely good cleanser but also makes the hair very dry. This conditioner helped with hydration enough to not make my bane look like hay. However, it still feels bit dry so I switched to Rene Furterer hair mask which is richer.
Even though the duration was longer, so was the list and next one will be in 2 months 👍🏽.
