July and August empties
I have a colourful set of products in this list with new categories - some anticipated and some surprise entries 🤭. Almost half are from City Pharma making me wish for another trip to Paris 🛫.
1. John Frieda detox shampoo: I bought this along with conditioner and heat protectant spray from the same range in buy 2 get 1 deal from Boots. Despite of the high reviews and recommendations for this brand, it didn’t impress me much. Though I have nothing against it, there are other brands I prefer more. I bought Moroccan oil damage repair duo I liked so much to replace this.
2. Clinique 7 day scrub: I switched to chemical exfoliation, still use physical one twice a week. This scrub is the best one I used so far with tiny granules and subtle exfoliation. I bought St.Ives by accident - It’s one of the first scrubs I tried and forgot how much I liked it. Glad to rediscover the cheaper alternative 🤑.
3. Panier des sens soap: I picked it up randomly while shopping shopping in City Pharma. I usually prefer body wash to soap, but a soap seemed to be a good fit for cabin baggage and I am glad I bought it. It didn’t lather much but cleaned well without making the skin dry. The highlight is the fragrance - I am not familiar with cotton flower but it is now one of my favourite scents 🥰. I bought St.Ives orchid body wash to compensate a little on fragrance and to add hydration as the weather is getting colder ❄️.
4. Caudalie detox face pack: I reduced the use of face packs due to acne, but used only this to soothe the irritation. Caudalie quickly became my favourite pharma brand. This face pack is not hand picked and came with a kit, still I liked it as much as my other favourite packs. I bought quite a few peel off masks which I am holding off until my skin gets settled down.
5. Clinique eye pencil: this is one of the surprises. I couldn’t twist it in the fear of breaking it as I did the previous one. Despite being travel size, it lasted quite a few months. I picked 2 of them as freebies since I didn’t carry Lord and berry kajal - I immediately regretted thinking I will get back to L&B on returning home, only unable to locate it. I liked this eye pencil. It doesn’t smudge much and not too intense colour. I almost felt sad that it got over if I wasn’t too excited to open Mac kajal.
6. CoCo LoCo heat protection spray: my sinusitis makes it hard to let my hair dry naturally. To reduce the bad effects of dryer, I always use heat protectant. I have no measure of quality but I like that it is made of coconut oil. I should have bought another one of these instead of John Frieda spray😑.
7. Avene gel face wash: another one of my City Pharma purchases and widely recommended- I could see why. It’s a good skin care product especially for acne prone skin. I bought cetaphil even though I alternate with Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser.
8. Bioderma micellar wipes: Bioderma micellar water is my all time favourite and the wipe version was on top of my City Pharma shopping list. Many reviews stated that water version is better than wipes and, while I too prefer water, I am not at all disappointed with wipes. These are the best wipes I ever used. They are gentle but removes makeup efficiently.
I am glad this list is more diverse than the latest lists and hopefully will add some lip products in next one 🤞.

So many empties 😄
