January Empties

Though I switched to more careful usage of products, body and hair products do get finished fast. In Jan, however, the variety of finished products was wider.

1. TBS English Gardenia body wash: I bought the perfume in this fragrance and liked it so much so I bought the body wash in the variant. Though I prefer moisturizing body washes in winter, this one is not drying at all. I do apply a body lotion at night to keep the skin hydrated. I am using the soap I bought from Paris City Pharma.
2. Superdrug witch hazel concealer: I switched to this concealer along with Clinique anti-blemish BB cream from Mac products when my skin started breaking out. The idea of witch hazel helping my skin while covering blemishes seemed quite appealing. Now that the situation got slightly better I went back to Mac concealer, but I am going to prefer skin care products for base makeup.
3. Hotel Chocolate hand cream: I wanted to buy my favorite hand cream which I bought from Cambridge few years ago. Unfortunately that got discontinued and the SA suggested this one as its similar. This is more hydrating than previous one, but fragrance wise I prefer the former. I bought L'occitane shea butter hand cream, which is equally hydrating and nice fragrance too.
4. TBS Banana conditioner: I got this as free sample and used it along with the banana Shampoo. Along with Klorane Mango conditioner and citrus body scrub my shower space seems like fruit farm. My hair definitely became less dry, but there are several other products I am using along this which could have contributed. I may not repurchase this as I have few hair packs and I would like to buy Moroccan oil conditioner.
5. Toni & Guy heat protection spray: Even though I stopped using straighteners, with my sinuses, I have no option but to use hair dryer. To contain the damage, I always use a good heat protection spray. In this case I relied on brand, but I bought coconut oil infused spray CoCo Loco for added care.
6. Clinique eye pencil: From lip and nail phase, I moved to eyes - I am hoarding so many eye products.  I got this as free sample and like it so much - good color and doesn't smudge much. There is a repeating offer of selecting 6 free items with 2 purchases and the nice lady let me choose 2 of these. I am on last one now and getting Mac technokohl next.
7. Essie haute in the heat nail polish: this is the first Essie nail polish I bought and my love for the brand began. Since then, 8 out of 10 nail polishes I bought are from Essie. They last long and with good finish. Haute in heat is hot pink color but not so bright and goes perfectly well with formal wear. It is perfect for spring/summer, also could be used in winter to add bit of color to neutral outfit.
8. Douce Nature cosmetic cotton pads: I bought these cotton rounds from Paris City Pharma. They are organic and super soft. It feels so comfortable to remove makeup or apply toners. I wish they come in bigger sizes - definitely going to my list when I visit a french pharmacy.
Feb empties is going to be an interesting list too, but before that I hope to write some travel posts.
