Shopping Plan

It is quite easy for me to go overboard with shopping, especially when I have short window abroad before getting back home😌. I have to keep a watch, else I end up with luggage struggles and bunch of un-opened products years later😪. So I am making a list to know where I got enough, the products I don't use much and the products I could get easily back home so I can avoid them.

Lip products: this is one category, I can surely say I don't need anymore. I got enough lipsticks, lip balms, liners and glosses to last more than 2-3 years.


Eye products:
  1. Eye-care: My body shop eye cream is almost over and I got Origins one as back-up which is going to last another 6-8 months. I could get another one of eye cream. I bought few eye masks too, but I don't think I will be using them regularly. 
  2. Mascara: I got enough both in samples and full size products. Sample mascara itself will last few months and my experience with benefit mascara taught me that it is not a good idea to buy mascaras in advance🤨. So no more mascaras.
  3. Eye shadows: I got Mac palette and mac pigment I am using for ages. Additionally I got Smashbox eye trio. However, I got 2-3 colors I don't have which I plan to get individually as I am not getting them in one kit😒.
  4. Eye-Liners: I got grey and purple pencil liners. I want to get Rimmel brown eyeliner and a pen liner👁️.
  5. Brow products: My Rimmel brow kit hit the pan and I am in search of a good brow product. I wanted to get something from Anastasia but I prefer 3-in-1 products. So far I narrowed down to TBS brow scult 3-in-1 and Loreal brow kit. Both are available in India, so I will get them if they are available in offer🤑. 
  6. Accessories: I don't use use lashes, so the accessories I use are eye shadow brushes and eyelash curler. I got Brushes from eco-tools which are enough for now. I am currently in search of a good Eyelash curler🧐.

Face products:
  1. Face-washes: I am back to using my favourite Lush face-washes 😇. I will be continuing even though I got Caudalie cleanser and Mridul sample pack. Clinique scrub is also unopened as I am using Angels on Bare skin which gives enough exfoliation. I might get aqua marina next and use the scrub then. 
  2. Face-packs: The Avene facepack my friend bought from Brussels is still unopened🥺. However, I didn't bring it with me since I know I will be using Lush face packs. The various sample and travel size packs I got along with kits have to wait too. I will get some Montagne Jeunesse packs though.
  3. Face-sprays and toners: I am not feeling the need to use the sprays as much as I did in India. Even the Kama Ayurveda Vetiver spray I am using as setting spray. I may get an evian spray. As for toners,I left my TBS vitamin E toner at home which got more than half left and bought Clarins toner from London. No toners in the list for now.
  4. Serums and Moisturizers: I am using Caudalie serum and moisturizer during day time and Kiehl's Iris extract and Midnight recovery concentrate before bed. I got enough moisturizers from Origins which are going to last a while. I will be getting Olay moisturizer for my mom though🥰 and maybe Vanishing cream or cosmetic lad from Lush.
  5. Concealer: I am about to finish Mac fluid concealer and got Studio finish one as backup. I might get another one, but I have good options available in India - Though it might cost a bit more, this is something I can skip and wont regret doing so😎.
  6. BB cream: Mac one I am using and Clarins detox I recently bought are going to last more than a year. However, I am going to buy Olay BB cream, because its the best BB cream I used so far and it is not currently available in India😑.
  7. Blush and highlighter: The products I am not very particular about and be happy to skip. The clinique and bare minerals high-lighters are in use for a while now and are going to last long. Also the cheek tint from TBS is in use for more than 6 months and not even half way through. No products in this category too🚫.
  8. Powder: This is something I have to buy. The BareMinerals Mineral veil is almost over and I am thinking between Mac blotting powder and Laura Mercier translucent powder🤔.
  9. Primers: Another product I don't miss from my kit. I got few samples which are going to last a short while. However, I am not going to buy any primer though. I always keep getting samples with my purchases anyway 🤷.
  10. Make-up removers and cleansing pads: I still got a good amount of Bioderma micellar water - my friend bought half litre bottle from Belgium 🤭. Also I got Clinique day off full size box and Bobbi Brown sample (Clinique micellar ones are for my sister). Nip+Fab glycolic acid pads are in my wish list for a while and they are still in testing period. If I like them, I will get another set of these while going home. I also got Simple makeup remover wipes for lazy days - I will definitely to get more of these.

Body Products:
  1. Body wash: I got travel size soap and glory which I am currently using. I also bought TBS english gardenia body wash which I kept aside to use when the climate gets warmer. I also got clarins body wash as freebie.
  2. Hand and Nail cream: I got lots of these - Loccitaine cherry blossom sample and Darphin handcream are in my handbag and work desk. Soap and glory hand cream in my desk and I use it before heading out. Additionally I bought Cacao and wild honey hand cream from the hotel chocolate as its reformed pack of my favorite hand cream and Champneys from Boots as I want to try this brand. I bought TBS almond cuticle oil in India, so need not worry about this.
  3. Moisturizer: I got travel sizes of Soap and glory and a some left from the bath and body works cashmere lotion. Estee Lauder lotion is for night-time use. I tried Lush charity pot in the store and liked it a lot. I will get once I finish up the current ones.
  4. Sunproducts: These are my least used products currently. After Easter weekend, there are barely any sunny days and, in addition to Suncros I bought from India, I got Clarins sunscreen as freebie along with after sun balm which I don't need (not sure what to do with it🤷).
  5. Foot products: I am using moisturizers as foot cream (after using Scholl electric foot file) and bought this Volcano foot mask from Lush which I am yet to try - if I like it, I will get one more and few Montagne Jeunesse foot masks.
  6. Perfumes and body sprays: I am still waiting to open Dior perfume which I bought more than 2 years ago⏱️ and cologne my friend bought from Germany. Clinique aromatics, Estee Lauder sample and Chanel madamoiselle body spray are currently in use and recently got Soap&Glory body spray with a kit. I want to get a Jo Malone perfume, but that might have to wait till my next trip.
Hair Products:
  1. Hair treatment: I tried a couple of products first one month but went back to my all time favorite Roots. 
  2. Shampoo & conditioner: I bought Loreal shampoo and conditioner for long hair, but felt like I need another for scalp and bought Montalbano shampoo bar from Lush. I also bought travel packs of Herbal essences & Lee stafford CoCo LoCo shampoo. Also bought some Lee stafford masks which I am yet to try. I want to get John Frieda detox repair range
  3. Hair creams and oils: Kevin Murphy curl enhancing lotion is almost finished and Muks gave me R&B moisturizer from Lush. I got Bumble and Bumble invisible oil which I apply after blow drying, but not impressed with it enough to purchase the full size.
  4. Hair spray: I got Tresemme travel size heat protection spray as I got Toni & Guy spray at home. Aveda texture tonic  is sample from one of the kits and I got two Ogx sea salt sprays in offer (one for my sis). No more hair sprays except John Frieda detox one. 
  5. Brushes: I switched to wooden hair brushes - I got one de-tangling one and TBS oval cushion brush. I got one Tek brush from T.K.Maxx - I heard good reviews about these brushes and also heard they are not easily available. I would like to get new brushes from Tek, if they are available before I leave

I am thinking of buying a big bag as my handbags are all smaller ones. But I will decide that just before leaving from here - need to check how my luggage situation will be 😥.

Another single month list 😊 1. Lacto Calamine cleansing wipes: these cleansing wipes are quite handy on a warm day outing or hectic day quick makeup removal. These wipes are as effective as the expensive brands.  2. L’Oréal lipstick - spring rosette: after lot of search for medium pink colour, I found this shade. February Empties

Most products emptied in this list don't have too many backups - too bad there aren't any makeup products. Nevertheless, I had a good long use of them and enjoyed using them. 1. L'occitane body & strength shampoo: this is like aromatherapy in a bottle making every shower a spa experience. Original price is 19 GBP, but on purchase of 35 GBP, i could buy 3 bottles of shampoo or conditioner from selected rage for 10 GBP each. The same offer was available in Paris too with Euros making it even more economical. The Shampoo is colorless with neither too thick nor too thin consistency. It doesn't lather too much but leaves the scalp clean without making the stresses dry. Still I developed the habit of using conditioner regularly. I bought herbal essence shampoo unwilling to shell out thrice the price to re-purchase this. However, if my luggage permits, I will not hesitate to pick this on my next euro trip. 2. Nov and Dec Empties

This list have a variety of products - skincare, hair care, make up and nails. Almost half are make up products - I always find it difficult to finish up makeup products😅.  1. Bioderma BB cream: I like make up products from skin care brands and French pharma brands. This one is both🥰. They don't have many shades - just 2 or 3. Thankfully I found a match. As bb creams are, this one doesn't provide heavy coverage. Even though I spend most of day in air conditioned space, I also spend good time walking in sun and this one stays well. It is not currently available in India😔, whenever I get access to it, I will definitely re purchase this one. 2. Mac eye pencil: this my second one and I was hoping to utilise it for back to Mac (which is no longer available😟). It is not too creamy not rigid. it doesn't stay long, however, il don't fudge at corners as other kohls I used before. Since these empties are no longer recyclable, I will by other brands now🤑. 3.
