Exfoliators
Past couple of months I have been extremely busy at work and my creativity is kept on hold as I ignored few other things like eating and sleeping. Irregular schedule and complete lack of care soon took a toll on my skin - acne, dullness etc., Then, one fine day, I started re-organizing my stuff and found lot of products which were lying ignored especially the ones I don't use daily and there are quite a few exfoliating products of various categories. They always played a major role in my skin care and I thought they'd be good subject for my come back post.
So here's the list of my scrubs
Face packs with scrub: I exfoliate my face twice a week i.e., before applying face mask. I prefer the face masks with exfoliation so I can skip a step 😉. I heard so many good things about Avene Cleanance mask which I am yet to start with as I am currently using L'oreal pure clay mask (not very regularly though as I want to complete my jelly mask from Lush which have lesser shelf life). I also got this innisfree black head removing mask which I used few times and totally forgot about until I found it buried under my sheet masks in my face mask box. It helps tackle the backheads I got around my nose and below my lips.
Lip scrub: I didn't realize how much my lips need a scrub until I started using one. My lips tend to get extremely dry despite the enormous amount of lip balms and lipsticks and lip glosses I layer on them. My first lip scrub was clinique lip pot which was an unplanned buy and I liked it so much I actually got my lazy self to use it quite regularly. Once it got over, I got the Forest Essentials cane lip scrub. It is lot more moisturizing and feels a bit slippery while applying. And then there is Lush - I wanted their bubblegum scrub for a while and, thanks to my lovely friend, that dream came true 😍. I want to finish up FE scrub before starting with Lush one - hoping it will motivate me to stop ignoring the peeling skin of my lips.
Body scrub: this is easily ignored as others as I keep it my bath cabinet and use it every time I wash my hair. I find it hard to notice the difference from using the body scrub, however, I would like to think it is keeping my skin extra clean from dirt and dead cells. I used TBS strawberry scrub in mini size first and liked it so much that I had to get a full size one. Its gel like consistency and fruity fragrance makes it quite fun to use 😄.
Foot scrub: This is the most required of all the scrubs. I mostly used pumice stone to clean my feet, but often find cleaning the stone is extra work. Also I keep misplacing it while letting it dry only to find it weeks later collecting dust. This peppermint scrub from TBS is perfect solution for my laziness. I scrub my feet after soaking them in warm water mixed with shampoo and salt for 10-15 mins and they feel nice and clean.
Surprisingly, I don't currently have a face scrub. My favorite herbalism is out of reach and Clinique 7 day scrub is too big pack for me (I wish they are available in 30 ml packs😞). I am considering Kama Ayurveda kumkumadi scrub or maybe something less expensive $$.
